Day two of this Overwatch World Cup is underway and it's time for the best four teams to face off for a shot in the Finals.
Day one of those Blizzcon Stage of the tournament gave us some unbelievable series as a number of the world's best teams confronted. The afternoon started off using its only fresh sweep, as Sweden took down the United Kingdom. Next up was a tense conflict between Canada and Australia that went down to the final map as Canada finished the reverse sweep to win 3-2. These two series winning countries, Canada and Sweden, will confront in the first of the semifinal matches. The next half of this day began with France tackling China easily using a 3-1 win in their match up. The final game of day one has been one of the tournament's most anticipated series as South Korea took on the United States. The series was close, but after the US missed a capture on Hanamura by razor thin margins and the map ended I a draw, it was South Korea from them as they took the series 3-1. South Korea will take on France in the second of the semifinals.
Like every other team, South Korea's journey started at the Group Stage, in which South Korea was totally dominant, flying beyond their competition on their way to qualifying for the Blizzcon Stage of their tournament.
In Blizzcon, the South Korean team continued their dominance, but not immediately. The team's only real challenge of the championship came in their quarterfinal match against the USA who technically lost 3-1, but attached the Korean side on a single map and took the others about as close as any team could. In their next match, however, South Korea restored beyond France with no issues in any way. Finally, South Korea faced Canada at the World Cup Finals where they conquer the Canadian side 4-1 using two quite close matches among the five the teams played. That is South Korea's second Overwatch World Cup victory. Canada took home the silver medal in the tournament, with Sweden taking down France to acquire their particular Bronze medal.
